Ultra cult Japanese punk band which existed from 1979 to 1983. Listening to the UK punk and post punk explosion, but also taking interest in industrial, experimental and avant garde music, they crafted half a dozen impossible to source cassette releases filled with urgent hyper fast bursts of teen angst made with early Roland drum machines, synths, effects pedals, and samplers in addition to traditional guitar and bass, and inspired by Crass, Ramones, Damned, Cabaret Voltaire, PiL, Throbbing Gristle and many more. In 1982 their friend Jojo from legendary Osaka noise outfit Hijokaidan, wondering why they hadn't released a record yet, financed their sole record release, the rarest punk record in Japan, limited to just 32 copies. The "Owannibalism" LP compiles the best of their early releases "Die Station Fur Die Owan", "Owan 2", and Owan 81, as well as compilation tracks, and completely unreleased and unheard early tracks. Over 100 tracks. The LP contains a booklet full of photos, flyers, and historical info.
