"Lucky Dog" was self-released digitally by Chicago upstarts Dwaal Troupe in 2021 to critical acclaim, and after signing to Ally Records in late 2021, "Lucky Dog" is now available on limited-edition vinyl in 2023. Contemporaries of Chicago bands Horsegirl, Lifeguard, Postcard Winter, Friko, and others, who collectively are leading a much heralded youth indie music scene in the windy city. Dwaal Troupe craft majestic songs tapping into groundwork forged by many of the Elephant 6 Recording Co. artists, and the likes of Guided By Voices, Sebadoh, Car Seat Headrest, and Velvet Underground.
