First time ever on vinyl for the 8th album by Anglo-French "ghost-rock" group, Piano Magic. Originally released in 2007 in CD format only, 'Part Monster,' produced by Guy Fixsen of Laika and producer of the likes of My Bloody Valentine, The Breeders, Pixies and many more, is a hybrid of noisy alternative rock, post-rock and dark folk. This album follows recent successful vinyl re-issues of other Piano Magic albums, 'Artists' Rifles,' 'Writers Without Homes,' 'The Troubled Sleep Of Piano Magic' and 'Low Birth Weight' and is the last of the band's studio albums to be released on vinyl. This album includes arguably Piano Magic’s most famous song, ‘Incurable’ and features a cameo vocal from Simon Rivers of The Bitter Springs on the Brexit pre-empting, ‘England’s Always Better (As You’re Pulling Away).’

Forming as a lo-fi electronica trio in 1996, Piano Magic's first EP, 'Wrong French' was a favourite of John Peel's (they later recorded a Peel Session for him) and a Single Of The Week in Melody Maker. By 2000, they'd become a full, touring alternative rock group, recording 2 albums for 4AD Records and collaborating with the likes of Low, Dead Can Dance, John Grant and Vashti Bunyan. ‘Part Monster’ opened up the band to far bigger audiences and festival stages across Europe – they regularly toured Spain, Italy and France and played in Greece, Poland, Turkey, Ukraine and even Russia.
