The Buffalo trio of Del Paxton appear with their smartest and most engagingly beautiful songs yet. These three songs play as a complete set - Almost tough to pick out where songs begin and end at first listen. It would have been a shame to break them up because they make perfect sense together in their ebb and flow. Peaks and valley's that make up for an incredible sum of it's parts. This band has really excelled into the next level and the songs they have contributed for this split release light the way for what's next. I cannot WAIT for people to hear this on their turntable.

Avery of Retirement Party had recorded and released their songs several months ago via digital platforms (titled Nothing To Hear Without A Sound) but had no plans for a physical release until Del Paxton showed up looking for a home for three new songs of their own. What happened next was a kismet pairing for these sets of tunes and a way to hear both on an excellent sounding vinyl presentation.

Retirement Party's songs pick up right where the project left off - A quirky batch of songs with natural and beautiful guitar and drum sounds, big hooks and Avery's confessional lyrics. The first recording featuring Sam Brown (Sprite, Flesh Panthers) on the kit. An awesome signal for where this band is headed next. Constantly growing. Constantly evolving into something new and continually beautiful.
