Well, what an absolutely lovely album this is. First brand spanking new release by this recently formed collective of Nashville artists and composers. The name of the band does a good job of summing up what to expect here but there is a whole lot more going on. Reverb drenched pedal steel, airy harmonizing vocals, wandering guitars and piano, all on top of some gorgeous laid back tunes. It’s ambient at times but also has tinges of country, spiritual jazz, 80s new age and a whole lot more. It is a stunning album and reminds us of the stuff William Tyler has been doing lately, or even a trippier version of the first Mojave 3 album, or a more stoned Mazzy Star. So good. More please!!!
